Maple Chicken Thighs Recipe

We are always looking for a great chicken thigh recipe that is simple and delicious, and this is one of our favorites. This maple glazed chicken recipe is one you are going to want to make.

We used boneless skinless chicken thighs, but you can use chicken breasts if you prefer. This recipe would also be fantastic served with waffles!

What you need to make Maple Chicken:

  • 8 Chicken Thighs (we used boneless skinless)
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup (100% pure)
  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Pepper

Can you use chicken breasts?

Yes, you can use chicken breasts to make maple glazed chicken breast. Be sure no to overcook them as they tend to dry out.

How to make Maple Chicken Thighs:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place chicken in a deep baking pan. Season the chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Steve’s Dad always called this the magic four!

Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and uncover the chicken. Transfer the juice from the chicken pan and place it in a separate bowl. Pour in the maple syrup and mix it together. Very important, make sure you use 100% pure maple syrup.

With a meat injector syringe, inject each piece of chicken with the juice from the bowl.

Pour the remaining juice from the bowl over the top of the chicken and place it back into the oven uncovered for 15 minutes. Make sure the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.

Remove the chicken from the oven then baste the chicken two to three times again with the juice from the pan. Then let it rest for about 10 minutes, then serve with your favorite side dishes.
