Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil (divided)
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Medium Onion (diced)
  • 1 cup Fresh Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 Tsp. Minced Garlic
  • 1 lb. Beef Tips/Stew Meat (bite size)
  • 1 Tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Pepper
  • 1 Tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 8 oz. Wide Egg Noodles (uncooked)
  • 2 cups Water (divided)
  • 1 Packet Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 Packet Brown Gravy
  • 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup

Instructions

  1. In a skillet on medium heat add 1 Tbsp. olive oil, 2 Tbsp. butter, onions, and mushrooms. Cook until tender, then add 1 Tsp. of minced garlic. Let it cook for about 1 minute then remove from skillet and set it aside.
  2. In the same skillet on medium high heat add 1 Tbsp. olive oil and then the stew meat. Add Worcestershire sauce, and season with half of the seasoning (reserve the other half to add at the end). Sear both sides of meat. Once the meat is seared on both sides turn the heat down to low.
  3. In a measuring cup, add beefy onion soup mix, and brown gravy packet into 2/3 cup of water and whisk it together. Pour it over the meat in the skillet, then add cream of mushroom soup and an additional ½ cup of water. Let it simmer on low for about 30 minutes stirring occasionally (You may need to add additional water if it gets too thick).
  4. While the beef is simmering, in a stock pot bring water to a boil, then add a teaspoon of salt and then the egg noodles. Cook noodles according to package directions then drain the egg noodles and set them aside (you can add a little olive oil on them to keep them from sticking together).
  5. Once meat mixture has simmered and meat is tender, add the sautéed onions, mushrooms, and then cooked noodles back into the meat mixture, and gently mix them together.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining seasoning on top and serve.
