Million Dollar Spaghetti

Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole

If you love layers of spaghetti, meat, and cheese, you are in for a treat! This Baked Million Dollar Spaghetti will be your new favorite weeknight casserole.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. Spaghetti Pasta
  • 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef (80/20)
  • 1/2 lb. Ground Italian Sausage
  • 1 Large Jar Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 Tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup Cottage Cheese (small or large curd)
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil (divided)
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (shredded, divided)
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Cheddar Cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Fill a 5 qt. stockpot ¾ full of water and bring it to a boil. Add a teaspoon of salt and the spaghetti. Cook pasta until al dente, then drain and toss in 1 Tbsp. of Olive oil, then set it aside.
  3. In a deep skillet on medium heat, add the ground beef and Italian sausage. Once the meat is cooked and no longer pink, add in Italian seasoning and then Spaghetti Sauce. Mix it into the meat, then remove from heat and set it aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese, and set aside.
  5. Pre-grease a deep baking dish with 1 Tbsp. of Olive oil, then add 3 large spoonful’s of the meat sauce to the bottom of the baking dish. Then add a layer of half of the pasta. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top of the pasta. Then a layer of the remaining pasta on top of the cream cheese mixture, and spread the remaining meat sauce over the top. Top with 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven uncovered for 30 minutes. Then top with the remaining ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with some grated parmesan cheese. Place back into the oven to bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Serve with some buttery garlic bread, and enjoy!
