Ingredients

  • 3 Ripe Bananas
  • 1/2 Tsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. Sour Cream
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1 Stick Butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup White Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Black Walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, use a fork and mash the ripe bananas until smooth.  Then stir in the lemon juice, vanilla, eggs, and sour cream.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar and add to the banana mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon and slowly stir into the banana mixture until combined.  Then fold in the chopped walnuts.
  5. Pour into a loaf pan sprayed with nonstick baking spray.  Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.  Remove from the oven and let cool in the loaf pan for about 10 minutes, then place the banana bread on a wire rack to cool completely.
