Amish Country Casserole ingredients and instructions:

  • 12oz. Wide Egg Noodles 
  • 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Medium Sweet Onion (diced)
  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Onion Powder
  • ½ Tsp. Salt
  • ½ Tsp. Pepper
  • 2 Tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 Can Tomato Soup
  • 1 Cup Half and Half or Milk
  • ½ Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (divided)

How to make Amish Country Casserole:

Preheat oven to 350F degrees.

 

In a medium stock pot, boil the egg noodles according to package instructions. Cook them until al dente’, then drain well.

In a skillet on medium heat, add ground beef, onion, and seasoning. Cook until ground beef is browned and the onions are tender.  Add in Worcestershire sauce, Cream of Mushroom soup, Tomato soup, and Half and Half. Stir until combined, then remove from heat and set it aside.

 

Pre-grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and transfer the cooked drained egg noodles into the baking dish. Pour the skillet meat mixture over the top, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle with a ¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese.

Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes (note: If it looks like the top is getting too crispy, cover the dish with aluminum foil, and place it back in the oven to finish baking).

Remove from oven and sprinkle with the remaining grated Parmesan cheese and serve!
